In construction, Division 7 refers to the thermal and moisture protection encompassing materials and systems that protect a building from weather moisture and air infiltration. This includes a range of products like insulation, roofing, waterproofing, sealants, and firestopping. The goal is to create a durable and energy efficient building envelope—just like a shield.
